Gardens Are Just Weird

And amazing.

This is tonight's harvest.  After several nights of frost, and 18" of snow in a blizzard that left us without power for about 48 hours.

Bok choi, carrots, Swiss chard, and mustard greens, gathered from the snow.

Wow! You're clearly the person to visit if there's ever some kind of global crisis.
We have a little alpine strawberry plant (bought from a tacky gift-shop, no less) which has been consistently producing one strawberry for each of my girls every day despite frosts. I suppose, being Alpine, it doesn't mind harsh weather.
